Knicks Passed Preseason Test With Flying Colors

The New York Knicks are one of the most talented teams in the NBA. On paper, the organization should be one of the top teams in the league.

During the 2024 preseason, the organization showed that in their 4-1 run.

There was a bigger test for the team to pass moving through the preseason slate, though, and it's something that the organization passed with flying colors.

Last season, the Knicks were decimated with injuries. While the team still managed to find a way to get the conference's second seed in the playoffs, their lack of healthy-capable starters hurt them and kept them from reaching the Eastern Conference Finals.

Health remains the important thing for New York.

Outside of an arm injury to Landry Shamet (a role player at best), the Knicks are fully healthy going into the regular season with their opening night contest against the Boston Celtics.

Starters like OG Anunoby, Jalen Brunson, and even Josh Hart were all dealing with injuries last season. They all need to stay healthy if they are going to get to where they want to go.

Through the preseason, those stars are healthy and ready to go.

It's what makes the preseason run a passing test to this point. Because they needed to show they could stay healthy enough to be successful.
