At the beginning of the college football season, the "College GameDay" crew predicted which team would win the national championship. Lee Corso chose the Texas Longhorns to win in their inaugural season in the SEC.

The Longhorns have consistently validated Corso's prediction this season. Texas remains undefeated and is currently ranked No. 1 in the country. When asked by his colleague Kirk Herbstreit who the best team in the nation is, Corso confidently chose the Longhorns without hesitation.

"Texas, they've got the best all-around team," Corso said on a video posted to Herbstreit's Twitter account. "They don't have any single weakness."

ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI) supports Corso's evaluation, ranking the Longhorns as the top team in the country. Texas has the highest projected win total for the season at 11.9 games. The Longhorns have a 61.3% chance of winning the SEC, a 95.7% chance of making the College Football Playoff and a 31.6% chance of winning the national championship.

The Longhorns will encounter a team on Saturday that is different from any they've faced this season. Currently, the FPI ranks their strength of schedule at No. 83. However, this will change as they prepare to play against the Georgia Bulldogs, who are ranked No. 4 by the FPI.

If the Longhorns win, it will only validate Corso's perspective and draw the college football world's attention. You can watch it all unfold as Texas faces Georgia at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
