Week 8 of the college football season may feature the biggest regular-season matchup of the year as the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs travel to face the No. 1 Texas Longhorns.

The Bulldogs began the season as the No. 1 team and were considered favorites, having won two of the last three national championships. However, after their loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide, another team has taken the spotlight in the SEC: Texas.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Longhorns are 4.5-point favorites entering the game. Texas has a money line of -205, and the over/under is set at 56.5. During the "Paul Finebaum Show," a caller took some jabs at other SEC schools while expressing support for the Longhorns. Although Finebaum did not make a prediction for the game, he noted that Texas has not yet faced a team like Georgia this season.

"You haven't seen anything like the Dawgs," Finebaum said. "I know Texas whose last national championship came what in 2005? I know you like to talk big, but the Dawgs have played for a few championships since then. They've won a few. They know what it's like to hold up that trophy. What about you guys?"

ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI) aligns with Finebaum's viewpoint. Texas has not faced a team as strong as the Bulldogs, nor has it encountered teams as challenging as Georgia has played this season. Georgia boasts the No. 7 ranked strength of schedule, while Texas is ranked No. 82.

According to the FPI, the best team the Longhorns have faced is the Oklahoma Sooners, which the FPI ranks No. 20. Georgia has played the No. 3 and No. 11 teams, winning one and losing the other.

It almost assuredly will be an exciting game on ABC on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
