Nick Saban Predicts Top 10 College Football Upset On Saturday

Saturday's slate of college football games features seven of the top 10 ranked teams in action.

One even includes a pair of them facing off against each other in No. 5 Georgia at No. 1 Texas. Aside from Georgia, three others will hit the road, including No. 6 Miami at Louisville, No. 7 Alabama at No. 11 Tennessee, and No. 8 LSU at Arkansas.

As always on ESPN's "College GameDay," the crew goes around the desk making predictions for the day's biggest games right before the show closes.

Before they reached the big nightcap between Georgia and Texas on Saturday night, Saban chose the Arkansas Razorbacks to upset his former team, the No. 8 LSU Tigers.

"I'm going to take Arkansas," Saban said. "I think they're going to catch LSU after a big win versus Ole Miss."

Before Saban made his mark at Alabama, he spent five seasons as the head coach of LSU. He won a national championship in 2003 and went 48-16 during his time there.

Fast-forward to today. No. 8 LSU rolls into Fayetteville riding a five-game win streak, thanks to a late 29-26 comeback win against Ole Miss in Week 7. After losing 27-20 in their season opener to USC, the Tigers have turned things around and now sit at 5-1.

Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier is playing at a high level, already throwing for 1,989 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and six interceptions this season.

However, Arkansas is a much-improved team in 2024 and can't be overlooked. In the Razorbacks' last outing, they upset No. 11 Tennessee 19-14.

The Hogs currently boast a 4-2 record, with a double overtime 39-31 loss to Oklahoma State and a 21-17 loss to No. 14 Texas A&M.

Kickoff between No. 8 LSU and Arkansas is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. According to ESPN BET , LSU is a 2.5-point road favorite.
