Nick Saban Sends Strong Five-Word Message to Deion Sanders

Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are set to face the Arizona Wildcats in Week 8, looking to advance to 5-2 on the season.

Before the Big 12 matchup kicked off, the ESPN "College GameDay" crew revealed their predictions for the Week 8 college football slate.

The entire "College GameDay" panel sided with Colorado in the matchup, except Kirk Herbstreit.

But when former Alabama head coach Nick Saban explained his reasoning for picking the Buffaloes, he sent a subtle message to Sanders.

"I'm just backing my man," Saban said.

The Buffaloes head into the game as a 2-point underdog, per ESPN BET . Despite the betting line favoring Arizona, Saban sees a different outcome.

"I'm staying with Colorado this week," Saban said. "I'm just backing my man."

Saban's pick for the Buffaloes comes a week after he said , "I’m not going to go against my man Deion anymore this season.”

The former Alabama Crimson Tide head coach picked the Buffaloes to defeat Kansas State in Week 7 and was unsuccessful after CU suffered a 31-28 loss. He also picked wrong when he chose UCF over Colorado in Week 4.

The Buffaloes took home a 48-21 victory in that matchup.

While he hasn't fared well in predicting the winner of Colorado Buffaloes' matchups this season, Week 8 may be a different story for Saban.

Colorado enters the Week 8 matchup as the No. 6 team in the Big 12. They have a 4-2 overall record and a 2-1 conference record.

According to ESPN analytics matchup predictor , the Buffaloes have a 59% chance to defeat the Wildcats in Week 8.
