The Los Angeles Lakers lost their preseason finale in a lopsided fashion, 132-74, to the Golden State Warriors, but their undrafted rookie guard Quincy Olivari came out a big winner.

The 23-year-old Olivari, who led the Lakers with 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting, saw one dream after another come true over the last 24 hours.

Olivari had the thrill of his life when his childhood hero, Warriors superstar Stephen Curry, hugged and acknowledged him after the game.

“It’s crazy because that’s my favorite player ever,” an emotional Olivari told reporters after the meeting. “The first thing he told me was, ‘I’m a big fan of your game,’ and truth be told, I’m a big fan of him. I had his jersey. He signed it twice. I used to sleep under that jersey. I used to want to be like him so badly.”

And it did not stop there.

Curry went the extra mile to make sure Olivari, his longtime fan and now opponent in the NBA, gets his flowers.

“Real as they come,” Curry said on his Instagram account with their photo after the game.

NBA fans were losing it in the comment section of Curry’s post.

One fan said: “This gonna make his day/year/life, W post.“

“That guy is gonna lose it when he sees this post,” another fan commented.

Another one replied, “Bro’s gonna love this hahaha.”

“This was dope,” one fan wrote.

“Steph just made his year with this post,” a fan quipped.

Another fan chimed: “Curry trying to make the rookie frame this.”

Olivari saw Curry’s post and replied: “I appreciate you big dawg.”

As if Curry’s acknowledgment was not enough, Olivari also realized his dream of earning an NBA contract.

On Saturday, the Lakers converted Olivari’s training camp deal to a two-way contract, ESPN’s Shams Charania and Dave McMenamin reported .

As a player on a two-way deal, Olivari will split his time between the NBA and G League. He is eligible to be in the Lakers’ lineup for a maximum of 50 games in the regular season.

Olivari averaged 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists in four preseason games with the Lakers.
