Kirby Smart Rips ESPN and Officials During Postgame Interview After Beating Texas

The No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs traveled to Austin, Texas, on Saturday night and delivered a masterclass performance, defeating the No. 1 ranked Texas Longhorns 30-15 on their home turf. Silencing a rowdy Longhorns fanbase.

Georgia faced skepticism all week. After a loss to Alabama a few weeks ago, many questioned whether the Bulldogs had the talent, toughness, and resilience to respond against a red-hot Longhorns team, and they answered the call and took the doubt personally.

In his postgame interview with ESPN , Georgia head coach Kirby Smart didn't hold back, calling out both the network and the game officials without hesitation.

"Nobody gave us a chance. Your entire network doubted us. Nobody believed us, and then they tried to rob us with calls, in this place." Smart said in his postgame interview.

While he may face some backlash for his comments, Kirby Smart had his team ready to play, dominating in every facet from start to finish on both sides of the football.

Running back Trevor Etienne recorded a hat trick, scoring three touchdowns and delivering crucial yardage when needed. Quarterback Carson Beck rose to the occasion, despite a few errant throws, and the defense—especially the pass rush—was relentless, forcing both Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning to scramble all night, resulting in a staggering seven sacks, three of which came from star pass rusher Jalon Walker.

It was pure domination, and Texas's No. 1 ranking is no more. We now await the new AP Top 25 poll to see how far Georgia will jump and where the Longhorns will land.
