Coach Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide have now lost two games in the 2024 college football season following a 24-17 defeat at the hands of the Tennessee Volunteers.

With the rushing attack pretty nonexistent for the Crimson Tide in Week 8, only recording 75 yards, quarterback Jalen Milroe did all he could to keep Bama in the game. The junior from Katy, Texas, finished the contest by completing 25-of-45 passes for 239 yards and one touchdown while adding 11 yards of his own on the ground. But the Tennessee defense proved to be too much, forcing three turnovers from Milroe.

After the game, as DeBoer was headed back to the locker room, the Tennessee fans started to rush the field in celebration of their big win. One fan decided it was a good idea to run in the direction of the former Washington Huskies coach. As he inched closer, DeBoer's security drilled the fan, sending him flying out of the way.

After viewing the incident with DeBoer and the Vols supporter, many college football fans took to social media to crack their jokes.

"At least somebody is blocking for Alabama, even if it is the police," one fan said .

"He need to be on somebody O-Line," added another.

"I wish our OL handled defenders like this," commented a third.

"Does he have eligibility left?" asked a fourth.

With the loss, the Crimson Tide now sit at 5-2 on the season and 2-2 in SEC play. Their only other loss of the year came in Week 6 when they faced Diego Pavia and the Vanderbilt Commodores. DeBoer and company will get the No. 19 Missouri Tigers in their next contest.

The Volunteers, on the other hand, moved to 6-1 and 3-1 in conference play. They will get a bye week before heading to Lexington to face the Kentucky Wildcats.
