Week 8 of the college football season has concluded, and several marquee matchups lived up to expectations. One of these exciting games was between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The Crimson Tide led 7-0 at halftime in Knoxville. However, Tennessee came out strong, scoring 24 points in the second half. The Volunteers ultimately won the game 24-17, handing Alabama its second loss of the season.

David Pollack stated on his YouTube show, "David Pollack College Football," that if Nick Saban were still the coach at Alabama, the Crimson Tide would be undefeated.

"I think they're undefeated with Nick Saban," Pollack said. "I just do. I think the (lack of) discipline is showing with the penalties that just keep adding up. The mistakes that add up."

The Crimson Tide committed 15 penalties for 115 yards against the Volunteers. Pollack highlighted a crucial penalty late in the game. With Alabama trailing 21-17 and less than two minutes remaining, they were backed up on their 33-yard line, facing a third-and-seven situation. Quarterback Jalen Milroe threw an incomplete pass to Kendrick Law, which set up a fourth-and-seven situation. However, Law pushed the defensive back in the face, resulting in a 15-yard personal foul penalty.

Alabama turned the ball over on downs, allowing Tennessee to score three additional points. This has become a recurring issue for Alabama this season. The Crimson Tide ranks No. 129 out of 133 teams in terms of fewest penalties, averaging almost nine penalties per game. They are last among SEC teams and second to last among Power Five schools.

Pollack believes they could be undefeated and in the thick of the SEC race if the Crimson Tide can reduce their penalties. Instead, Alabama risks missing the College Football Playoff.

I am a HUGE TENNESSEE fan...people need to remember, Alabama is now the "normal" in College Football! Coaching changes are hard...this too shall pass.

The penalties you d ont understand Saban would not tolerate!! Giving a new coach a chance is one thing but seeing lack of discipline is not tolerated at ALABAMA!!
