Audio Leak Reveals Sharp Exchange Between Jimmy Butler, Chris Paul

The Miami Heat beat the San Antonio Spurs, 120-117, in their preseason face-off at Kaseya Center last Tuesday.

The Heat went on to finish their preseason campaign with four straight wins after dropping their first assignment against the Charlotte Hornets.

Bam Adebayo led Miami against San Antonio with 20 points and three rebounds, while Jaime Jaquez Jr. added 15 points, six rebounds and five assists.

The game wasn't without tension. During a possession of the Spurs, Jimmy Butler pushed Chris Paul, eliciting a laugh from the latter. The two veterans barked at each other before cooler heads prevailed.

The leaked audio from the video posted by NBA page LegendZ Productions on YouTube revealed the explicit back-and-forth between the 35-year-old Butler and the 39-year-old Paul.

"I got 20 years in this s***," said Paul who joined the Spurs this summer.

"Yeah, that's cool," responded Butler. "I don't give a f*** how many years you got!"

Butler finished with 12 points and four rebounds, while Paul tallied 13 points and five assists.

When asked about the incident after the game, Paul was curt with his reply.

"Same old, same old," said the 12-time All-Star in the same video. "It's the NBA, ain't nobody doing anything."

Butler vowed to bounce back this season after getting called out by Heat president Pat Riley. He missed their first-round series against the Boston Celtics after suffering an MCL injury in the Play-In Tournament versus the Philadelphia 76ers.

It was also revealed in the documentary series, "Starting 5," that he lost his father in the middle of the season.
