Minnesota Vikings superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson helped justify his recreation of a Randy Moss " ESPN The Magazine" cover , which will debut on Tuesday.

Jefferson displayed his athleticism against the Detroit Lions on Sunday when he faked a flea flicker and ran for two yards. Despite the small gain, his dancing and dodging in the backfield "had everyone on the edge of their seats" as NFL social media put it .

One fan wrote " for a second I thought he might go for it " followed by a laughing emoji. Another chimed in "that's a long play for two yards" for Jefferson.

"He pranked everyone," one fan added .

Another joked "they think they have been Ben Johnson" in reference to the Lions offensive coordinator. Jefferson really kept Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn on his toes throughout Sunday's game.

The former LSU standout put the Vikings back into the game with the Lions in the third quarter with a 25-yard touchdown reception. That made the game 21-17 after dominant second quarter by the Lions, but Detroit prevailed in the end, 31-29.

Justin Jefferson always knows how to deliver an electrifying performance," o ne fan exclaimed in reaction to the fake flea flicker . "His ability to make big plays keeps fans and defenders alike on their toes."

A three-time All-Pro, Jefferson's success has rivaled Moss, a Hall of Famer who played for the Vikings from 1998 to 2004 plus a cameo appearance in 2010. Jefferson will appear on the ESPN cover with Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards as a nod to former Wolves star Kevin Garnett, who appeared on the old cover with Moss.

Garnett played for the Wolves from 1995 to 2007 plus a brief in stint in the 2015-2016 season. Both Garnett and Moss were arguably Minnesota's biggest sports stars in the 2000s in additional to being nationally known.

Why is this article about Jefferson? He only got 80 yards. Amon Ra was at almost 120.

Dance around for a two yard gain instead of hitting the hole for 5-10.
