Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is amid her first extended basketball break in quite some time. The Fever were eliminated from the WNBA playoffs on Sept. 25, which ended Clark's historic rookie campaign but also began what has been an important period of rest.

While Clark told reporters after the playoffs that she will recharge and play some golf this offseason, she is also planning to work on her game.

"I'm a competitor and somebody that loves to work, so it won't be hard for me to want to get in the gym and to get even better," Clark said shortly after the season ended.

As she balances getting in the gym and enjoying her offseason, Clark has made a few public appearances. The latest was at the Indiana Pacers' Golden Gala event, where Clark connected with fellow All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton.

"Indy’s point guards 🤩," the Pacers and Fever wrote in a collaboration post on Instagram.

"Point God & Point Goddess," a fan wrote.

This is not the first time Clark has been referred to by this nickname. Many WNBA fans commented "Point Goddess" under a post from San Antonio Spurs guard Chris Paul that congratulated Clark on breaking the single-season assist record.

Like Clark, Haliburton led the league in assists per game last season. The Pacers point guard has been a supporter of Clark and the Fever and occasionally attended games.

While the "Point god" nickname is generally reserved for Paul, who ranks third all-time in assists, Haliburton has become one of the NBA's premier point guards. Between Haliburton and Clark, there is some elite playmaking talent in Indiana.
