Jets Frightening Injury as Lineman Leaves on Stretcher vs. Steelers

New York Jets offensive lineman Xavier Newman left the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on a headboard in the third quarter of "Sunday Night Football."

Newman is conscious with movement in his limbs and is being taken straight to the hospital. He went down after being shoved out-of-bounds. The severity of his injury is currently unknown.

The Steelers were able to extend their lead to 23-15 in the third quarter against New York after Russell Wilson took in a one-yard sneak for a touchdown.

The Steelers have intercepted Rodgers two drives in a row, both of which came from undrafted rookie cornerback Beanie Bishop Jr. Bishop is having an unbelievable night, as he now has five tackles, a tackle-for-loss and two interceptions.

After a slow start, Wilson has begun to heat up in his Steelers debut. Through three quarters, Wilson has 224 passing yards and two total touchdowns. His connection with top receiver George Pickens has been a huge reason why Pittsburgh's offense has been more productive. Pickens has five catches for 111 yards and a touchdown.

Aside from his two recent interceptions, one of which bounced off Garrett Wilson's chest, Rodgers has had a solid night. He has 220 passing yards, a touchdown and two picks. Running back Breece Hall has easily been the biggest standout for the Jets, as he has 138 scrimmage yards.

The Steelers have been able to contain receiver Davante Adams in his Jets debut. Adams has three receptions for 30 yards, as Rodgers has struggled to find his former favorite receiver.
