Davante Adams Reveals What 'Pisses' Him Off After Losing in Jets Debut

    By Paolo Mariano,

Fans of the New York Jets rejoiced after the team landed wide receiver Davante Adams in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Adams got his desired reunion with quarterback Aaron Rodgers and was seen as another offensive weapon to galvanize the Jets amid their recent slump.

He made his debut for New York when they took on the returning Russell Wilson and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Adams, however, hardly made a difference as they absorbed a 37-15 defeat.

The spiraling Jets suffered their fourth straight loss and dropped to 2-5.

Adams tallied 30 yards on three receptions. Rodgers, for his part, finished 24-of-39 for 276 yards and a touchdown but got intercepted twice.

The Jets only scored two touchdowns and got blanked in the second half by the Steelers.

After the game, Adams was honest with their lethargic showing on offense.

"That's almost what pisses you off even more, knowing that you've got those types of weapons and come up short," said the three-time All-Pro First Team member in a report from ESPN's Rich Cimini .

Still, Adams expressed optimism. After all, it was just his first game with the Jets, who gave up a 2025 conditional third-round pick to acquire him.

"I'm in a bad mood that we lost the game, but I'm still fired up about what this football team can do," added the six-time Pro Bowler, who enjoyed productive seasons alongside Rodgers on the Green Bay Packers.

"The offense that we have, the weapons that we have, when I'm in the huddle today multiple times I'm just looking around (at the talent), and it's kind of crazy."

The Jets have the chance to end their losing skid against the New England Patriots on Oct. 27.
