The Baltimore Ravens have not looked back since their 0-2 start to their 2024 NFL campaign. They are now on a five-game win streak after they demolished Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road Monday night, 41-31.

One doesn't have to dig deep to find a major reason behind the Ravens' seemingly unstoppable rise. With Lamar Jackson playing like an MVP again, the Ravens have lit up one opponent after another, and he torched a new one in Week 7 with a scintillating play at Raymond James Stadium.

Jackson has been so good of late that he's gotten an immense NBA comparison in the eyes of Ravens defensive back Kyle Hamilton.

"It's almost scary to see him getting better at this point," Hamilton said of Jackson after the Buccaneers game, per Jamison Hensley of ESPN . "He's just one-on-one. If I had to equate it to somebody, he's just, basketball-wise, he is like LeBron out there."

Hamilton does know hoops. After all, he is the son of Derrick Hamilton, a former professional basketball player.

Anytime an athlete gets mentioned in the same sentence as LeBron James, regardless of context, it's always going to get attention. In any case, it's hard to deny the greatness of Jackson in the 2024 NFL season thus far.

Against the Buccaneers, the two-time NFL Most Valuable Player went 17-of-22 for 281 passing yards and five touchdowns with zero interceptions. In other words, Jackson had as many incompletions as touchdown tosses. On top of those numbers, he rushed for 52 yards on nine carries.

The 27-year-old Jackson is making another compelling case for MVP consideration, as he's got the numbers and team wins to back him up. Nevertheless, it's all about winning the Super Bowl for Jackson, who will lead the Ravens again in Week 8 versus the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field.
