Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is in his 22nd NBA season. The 39-year-old forward is the oldest player in the NBA but is still playing at a very high level.

James entered Saturday’s game against the Sacramento Kings averaging 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists on the season. While these may not be the statistical averages NBA fans are used to seeing from James, they are still very impressive for a player in Year 22.

The all-around play of James helped the Lakers win their first two games of the NBA season entering this Pacific Division battle with Sacramento.

With his best game of the season thus far, James made history against the Kings by becoming the first player ever to record a double-double in their 22nd season.

“LeBron James is the first player in NBA history to record a double-double in their 22nd season,” StatMamba on X wrote.

Already the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, James is now finding new ways to make history.

James erupted for 16 points in the first four minutes of the fourth quarter to notch his first 30-point game of the season.

The Lakers have been arguably the NBA’s most impressive team to start the season, as new head coach JJ Redick has the roster firing on all cylinders.

Star center Anthony Davis was the Lakers’ top performer through the first two games, but it was James who took over against the Kings.

He had a triple double and not a double double. This is what happens when you try to push out an article before the game is over to be the first.
