The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers continue the 2024 World Series on Monday night after traveling east to Yankee Stadium.

Holding a 2-0 series advantage, the Dodgers will have Shohei Ohtani in the lineup following Saturday's injury scare, while the Yankees hope for some production out of struggling slugger Aaron Judge.

The Bronx Bombers and their fans will get a bit of an emotional boost during pregame as Yankees legend Derek Jeter is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch for Game 3, MLB announced on Monday .

The news had baseball fans buzzing about the Hall of Famer on social media.

Jeter, 50, won five World Series titles with the Yankees and is now a prominent presence on Fox's MLB postseason coverage alongside Alex Rodriguez, David Ortiz and Kevin Burkhardt.

"Papi’s gonna make a joke about it and Jeter will storm off the set," one fan wrote on X.

"He should probably put on a uniform as well bc they need someone with heart on that team," said another.

"Need that Jeter magic to turn this series around tonight," remarked a fan.

"Please Boonie, let Jeter give an inspirational talk before the game too," another pleaded .

First pitch of Game 3 is set for 8:08 p.m. ET on Fox. Clarke Schmidt will get the start for the Yankees while Walker Buehler will take the mound for the visiting Dodgers.
