Despite firmly establishing herself as one of the biggest superstars in the game today, Caitlin Clark still gets star-struck from time to time. This is especially the case when it's an unexpected guest who makes an impromptu appearance during one of the Indiana Fever's home games.

A case in point was the events that went down during Sunday's 92-75 blowout win against the Seattle Storm at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Even Clark herself had to admit that she was very excited after Lil Freddy, the mini version of Indiana's Fever Freddy mascot, made a cameo ahead of tip-off.

Speaking to reporters during Tuesday's practice, Clark revealed her reaction to Lil Freddy's presence during the game.

"Yeah, I mean, he just like randomly shows up on the weekends," Clark responded when asked if she was star-struck by Lil Freddy's surprise appearance. "... It's like once every 10 games he appears, but I love him, he loves me. It's awesome."

Lil Freddy's support did not go unnoticed, either. It appears that the mascot may have helped light a fire under Clark and the rest of the Fever as they destroyed the Storm in what turned out to be a lopsided contest.

Clark turned in another strong performance with 23 points, five rebounds, nine assists, a steal, two blocks and three triples. Kelsey Mitchell (27 points, five triples), Aliyah Boston (nine points, 15 rebounds, eight assists) and Lexie Hull (22 points, six triples) all went off as well, as Indiana made easy work of Seattle.

The Fever's next two games will be on the road before they head back to Indiana on August 28 to host the Connecticut Sun. Whether or not Lil Freddy will be back in action for that one is anybody's guess at this point.
