The Chicago Cubs are fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive and some of their youngest players are stepping up in big ways.

On Saturday, the Cubs look to clinch a series victory against the Miami Marlins and the club's third straight win of the season. Chicago picked up multiple home runs early in the game, including two from Seiya Suzuki . However, in the top of the fifth inning, rookie outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong continued his surge at the plate as he hit his seventh home run of the season.

The home went 437 feet, which is now the longest in the young career of Crow-Armstrong. His hit out over the right field wall also had an exit velocity of over 106 MPH.

The 22 year old is showing both his power and speed this weekend at loanDepot Park in Miami. The homer on Saturday was not the first of the series, but it was the first that went over the wall the traditional way. In the opener on Friday, Crow-Armstrong recorded an inside the park home run against the Marlins. He is the second fastest since 2015 (statcast history) with the fastest Home-to-Home Times as he was clocked at 14.1 seconds.

Across his last seven games, Pete Crow-Armstrong is hitting .333/.455/.722 with two homers and five RBIs.

The Cubs entered Saturday 5.5 games outside the Atlanta Braves for the final spot in the National League Wildcard race. The rest of game two and the series finale on Sunday against the Miami Marlins is available on the Marquee Sports Network.
