In a world where health disparities disproportionately affect Black communities, Founder and President of Black Health Matters , Roslyn Young Daniels has emerged as a beacon of leadership and change. With over two decades of experience designing and implementing cross-cultural health education programs, Ms. Daniels has been at the forefront of advocating for health equity within the Black community. Her dedication to this cause has not gone unnoticed, as she was recently honored with the Women of Color in Pharma (WOCIP) Community Impact Award and was named an honorary member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc .

The driving force behind Ms. Daniels' work lies in her personal experience with loss and the realization that her grandparents suffered in silence due to a lack of agency within the medical establishment. This poignant experience ignited her passion for fighting for health equity and led to the creation of Black Health Matters , a platform dedicated to raising awareness and providing resources for Black health.

One of the hallmark events hosted by Black Health Matters is the Winter 2024 Health Summit and Expo , scheduled to take place on March 2nd at the Loudermilk Conference Center in Atlanta. This event, free and open to the community, offers attendees the opportunity to engage with health professionals, patient advocates, and celebrity guests who are committed to raising health awareness among the public.
