    Taking Action for Health and Wellness: A Look at the Upcoming Run Atlanta 5K Event

    Tuesday morning on The Rashad Richey Morning Show, listeners were joined by the renowned Metro Atlanta native, owner, and proprietor of Pain 2 Wellness Chiropractic Center, Dr. Winston Carhee , Vice President of T.W.D., Inc., Thomas W. Dortch , and Regional Director of the Office of the Regional Director – Region 4 U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Antrell Tyson, Esq . They shared about the upcoming Run Atlanta 5K event scheduled for April 6th. The event aims to bring awareness to health disparities in the community and encourage personal accountability for individual wellness.

    The event will commence with a symbolic sunrise march from King Chapel to Rose Circle Park, led by collegiate members of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta. This march serves as a call to action for the community to take charge of their health and well-being. Following the march, participants can engage in the Run Atlanta 5K race, set to begin at 9 a.m. The race offers options for participants to run, walk or race in a timed event. The activities will conclude at Washington Park with an award ceremony, music, food, and complimentary health screenings available to the public.

    Dr. Carhee highlighted the organization's commitment to mentoring and community projects, emphasizing the importance of personal responsibility and community involvement in promoting health and wellness, Dr. Carhee encouraged listeners to show their support for the cause.

    In addition to Dr. Carhee, the discussion featured prominent community leaders Antrell Tyson, Esq and Thomas W. Dortch. Both guests highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing health disparities in marginalized communities.
