An Atlanta-based children’s apparel brand is opening a retail store right down the street from its headquarters.

Carters Inc. is one of the latest tenants to be announced for Buckhead Landing , a shopping center undergoing redevelopment by Regency Centers . The complex, which will be anchored by a 55,000-square-foot Publix, is located in the heart of Buckhead on Piedmont Road.

Carters Inc., which also owns the OshKosh B’gosh, Little Planet and Skip Hop brands, sells apparel for babies, toddlers and older children. In addition to being sold online and in department stores and other retailers, the brand has about 1,000 of its own company-operated stores. The Carters Inc. headquarters is located at Phipps Tower on Peachtree Road, where it moved about 10 years ago .

According to a site map, the Carters store will be located in a nearly 8,800-square-foot space, making it one of the larger tenants at the complex. As of the time of this writing, several tenant spaces at Buckhead Landing are still available.

Construction on Buckhead Landing began in the first quarter of 2023, with construction on the Publix starting later that year. The grocery store is slated to open later this year, according to Regency Centers. The other dining and retail concepts will open in three phases.

As previously reported by What Now Atlanta , other brands joining the shopping center include Golf Galaxy , Waxing the City , an Alloy fitness studio, and the first Atlanta location of Burtons Grill & Bar .

“We have been developing a balanced mix of national and locally owned Atlanta businesses, as well as first-to-market concepts that meet the demands of today’s Buckhead consumer,” Regency Centers Vice President and Market Officer Nate Smith said in a statement.

Several of the businesses already located at the site, including Starbucks, will remain.
