Seafood eatery Breaker Breaker , located along the Eastside Beltline Trail, will officially open its second-story lounge, Floridaman , on Friday, May 24, 2024.

“We’ve had a lot of fun playing up the theme of Breaker Breaker in the design, menu and bar program,” said owner Johnny Farrow . “The upstairs was a great spot to offer even more bar space to the 21+ crowd, while also poking a little fun at the phenomenon of ‘Florida Man’ with our take on a retro lounge.”

Floridaman will offer tableside service with an abbreviated food menu of favorites from Breaker Breaker’s menu, as well as Chef Maximilian Hines ’ spin on a pressed, Tampa-style Cuban sandwich aptly named The Floridaman. General Manager Hannah Keller and her team will debut two new signature cocktails. The Freak on a Beach features Myers’s dark rum, peach liqueur, mango Chinola, and pineapple, while I Wanna Be Sedated takes cues from the classic Painkiller cocktail with Guatemalan rum, Rumchata, pineapple, nutmeg. There will also be premium spirits, beer and wine selections.

Designer Elizabeth Ingram helped bring the aesthetic of Floridaman to life, with flourishes inspired by coastal houseboats and bright colors to contrast the dining space below. The space seats 55 and includes eight televisions, with potential plans for watch parties of major tournaments and sporting events.

Floridaman is accessible via the front entrance on Wylie Street. It will be open 5 to 10 p.m. Fridays and 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Breaker Breaker is a new concept located on the former Stein Steel Co. development on the Eastside BeltLine Trail in Atlanta’s Reynoldstown neighborhood.
