A Georgia coffee staple is perking up another area of Atlanta.

The newest location of PERC Coffee is now open at the Roswell-Wieuca Shopping Center at 4630 Wieuca Road NE. The coffee shop features the brand’s signature pops of color, with splashes of pink, yellow and blue on the exterior and interior, as well as a pistachio green espresso machine. The shop includes both indoor and outdoor seating.

“Thankfully the landlords let us go a little wild with this one,” PERC Retail Director Amber Foreman told What Now Atlanta . “We really leaned into it and had a lot of fun with it.”

The splashy design on the outside facade is inspired by what they call the “lava lamp design” – a retro aesthetic that continues once you step indoors.

“The back wall and indoor area, we called it the wavy wall,” Foreman said. “It’s this curved wall that mimics that lava lamp design. We leaned into that… It brings that bright, fun vibe from the outside in.”

The neighborhood found itself on the radar of PERC Coffee when CEO Alan Fischer was riding his bike in the area. The gears started turning about transforming a space at the shopping center into an outpost of the colorful coffee shop.

Foreman said the location is ideal due to its proximity to residential properties, as well as popular outdoor areas.

“Being a short distance from Chastain Park is super killer for us,” Foreman said. “It’s so beautiful over there. There’s so many people out and about enjoying it. That’s what drove us there.”

The menu includes classic and signature coffee drinks, including the Good Times Latte, featuring house-made lavender-vanilla syrup and a dash of habañero sugar on top. The new location has a full kitchen, so visitors can have a bite to eat with their beverages, from the sweet (like donuts, pastries, a granola bowl) to the savory (like the popular Breakfast Crunchwrap).

The opening of the new location comes amid some changes and additions to the menu. PERC Coffee has officially added matcha to its lineup, so lovers of the green beverage can get excited. New seasonal drinks include the Root Scoot and Boogie – a root beer float latte that can be enjoyed hot or iced – and a summer favorite, a cherry limeade with espresso. PERC has also put a twist on the classic mocha, garnishing it with graham crackers and vegan marshmallows for a new drink called the Happy Camper.

For the month of June, visitors can order the Pride Drink, a cereal-esque latte with flavors of strawberry and Trix. Two dollars from every sale of this drink will go toward Lost-n-Found Youth , an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization that aims to end homelessness for LGBTQ youth.

PERC Coffee began roasting in Savannah in 2010 before expanding to Atlanta. There are now locations in Savannah, East Lake, Virginia-Highland, Grant Park and Tucker .

“We source the world’s most colorful coffees and roast them with love,” said PERC Coffee founder Philip Brown . “We want our spaces to be bright, inviting, and, most of all, fun.”

It’s been a time of rapid growth for PERC: Grant Park, Tucker and now Chastain have all opened within the last eight months.

What Now Atlanta reported in December that the new Chastain location was in the works.

The shop is open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
