An Atlanta grocery store will be getting a tune-up.

Interior renovations are proposed for Publix at Howell Mill Village, according to a recent building permit application with the City of Atlanta. The scope of work includes changes to the interior walls, ceilings and finishes. The renovations will not alter the size of the 31,000-square-foot store.

According to the application, the estimated cost of construction is $1.5 million.

Howell Mill Village is a shopping center at 2020 Howell Mill Road that also contains a Walgreens, Jersey Mike’s, Petco, Chipotle and more. The Publix store is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Publix was founded in 1930 and is now headquartered in Lakeland, Florida. There are currently more than 1,300 locations across eight states, most of which are in Florida. There are 212 Publix stores in Georgia, as well as a Publix bakery facility that opened in Atlanta in 2004.
