Originating from Ms. Price's personal connection to beer—fostered through a childhood ritual with her father—the organization aims to create opportunities and increase visibility for marginalized groups in beer-related professions.
Ms. Price highlighted several local Atlanta breweries known for their commitment to diversity and innovation. Among them, Atlantucky Brewing , located near Mercedes Benz Stadium, and Reformation Brewing , acclaimed for their inventive, floral-inspired beers like the Alani .
In addition to promoting beer education and appreciation, Crafted For Action hosts an annual conference that blends informative panels with celebratory events. The conference serves as a platform to explore beer's cultural intersections with fields such as agriculture, music, and history.
Reflecting on beer's historical roots, Ms. Price also spoke on its origins in ancient North African civilizations, where women of color played a foundational role in its production—a legacy often overlooked in modern narratives of beer history.
