The pick is in! Round one of the 2024 NBA Draft is officially in the books, and the Atlanta Hawks picked Frenchman Zaccharie Risacher with the first overall pick. According to Hawks General Manager Landry Fields, Risacher was their pick all along, and many are celebrating the pick. There was, however, a lot of controversy surrounding the pick.

The favorite in a lot of pundit's eyes was Alex Sarr, who declined a workout for the Hawks, and that left many people scratching their heads. After all, there was no clear number one pick in this draft, and being picked number one should be every player's goal heading in to a draft of any sport, or you would think. But what now? The Hawks still have a long summer ahead of them, which may include some shuffling of the roster, including possible trades of their best players. But for Risacher? You need to come in, get to work, and prove that you were worth the number one overall pick in the draft. Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael talk about the future of Zaccharie Risacher and what it needs to look like as a member of the Atlanta Hawks.
