Direction of the Atlanta Hawks finally becoming clear

The Atlanta Hawks entered the offseason with a number of questions, but none was bigger than who stays and who goes between star guars Trae Young and Dejounte Murray, and on Friday evening the Hawks made a trade to answer that question when they sent Dejounte Murray to the Pelicans for a package including a trio of players and a pair for first round draft picks.

While not everyone is pleased with the return for Dejounte Murray, possibly more significant than what the return was, is that the Hawks now have a clear and defined direction, building this team around Trae Young.

That build-up began by drafting Zaccharie Risacher with the #1 overall pick, continued with the trade of Dejounte Murray, and isn't done yet as the team enters free agency looking to upgrade at a few positions still via trade or signing.
