Atlanta Dream star Tina Charles continues her climb on the WNBA record books. On Friday against the Dallas Wings, she officially surpassed hoops legend Tamika Catchings on the league's all-time scoring list.

Charles now owns the third spot on the scoring list after she scored 12 points in the 85-82 loss. Entering the contest, the 35-year-old vet needed just 10 points to break Catchings' record of 7,380 points.

The former WNBA MVP now has 7,383 points following Friday's contest. However, she is still far from the top player on the list, per Basketball Reference.

Diana Taurasi still leads the league with 10,423 points, and considering she's still active with the Phoenix Mercury, she has more time to widen the gap.

However, Tina Charles has a chance to surpass Tina Thompson for No. 2 on the list. Thompson is second with 7,488 points, which is only a 105-point difference.

With Charles averaging at least 14 points per game this season and with 21 matches left after the Dream's showdown with the Wings, she is well on pace to become the second-leading scorer in WNBA history before the 2024 season ends.
