Bijan Robinson set up to be as productive as Christian McCaffrey in 2024

ESPN surveyed league executives, coaches, and scouts to help them rank the top 10 players at 11 different positions. Monday they kicked off their rankings with the running back position.

Christian McCaffrey was ranked No. 1 and Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson was ranked No. 6. However, Robinson did get some first-place votes, and that got The Morning Shift talking about how the Falcons second-year running back could be as productive as the 49ers star running back this season.

Beau Morgan talked about how Kyle Shanahan’s offense in San Francisco and Christian McCaffrey are a perfect fit, and then mentioned how the Falcons offense will be very similar.

“That’s not that different of an offense, if at all, than what Bijan is going to be involved in with Zac Robinson," said Beau.

Earlier this offseason Robinson even said himself that he would be used more like Christian McCaffrey in Zac Robinson’s offense. When Falcons head coach Raheem Morris was asked earlier this offseason about how the team is going to use Bijan he said they will “get the ball to Bijan as much we can, in as many ideal situations that we possibly can.”

In 272 attempts McCaffrey rushed for 1,459 yards and had 14 rushing touchdowns last season. The First Team All-Pro running back also caught 67 passes for 564 yards and scored seven touchdowns through the air, and if the Falcons can get anywhere near that type of production from Bijan Robinson this season the Falcons offense will be a force to be reckoned with.
