More than 7k already registered for 2025 Peachtree Road Race

The Atlanta Track Club has already received more than 7,000 registrations for the 2025 Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race.

“We thought it would be fun to get a head start on 2025 while memories of Atlanta’s best day of the year are still fresh,” said Rich Kenah, CEO of Atlanta Track Club and race director of the Peachtree. “And this early registration period gives everyone who’s still feeling the energy of the event — participants, friends, family, spectators, viewers of the race’s livestream — the chance to guarantee their spot in next year’s race without having to rely on getting in via the lottery.”

Kenah is right to ride the momentum. The 2024 race held last week surpassed 50,000 registrants – its highest number in five years, marking a clear rebound from the pandemic. The Microsoft Peachtree Jr., made free for kids through Microsoft’s partnership this year, had a 200% increase in registration with nearly 3,000 kids compared to 2023.

And despite the race being canceled shortly before 11 a.m. due to extreme heat, the race was still successful.

Sebastian Sawe, the No. 1-ranking road racer in the world, conquered the men’s field and Stacy Ndiwa sprinted to the finish for her first win. Notable entrants included Mayor Andre Dickens and Sen; Raphael Warnock. The oldest runner was Betty Lindberg, who completed her 35th run in 3:08:45 two months before her 100th birthday.

Registration for the 2025 Peachtree Road Race is only $45 through July 11. The lottery will return later in the year. To find out more, visit the Atlanta Track Club’s website .
