A rally to show support for Ukraine in its ongoing war with Russia is set for Saturday, July 13, in Downtown Atlanta.

Supported by Atlanta-based HelpingUkraine.us , the rally will be held at 4:30 p.m. at the corner of Marietta St. NW and Centennial Olympic Park Drive NW, near Centennial Olympic Park.

The rally is being held days after Ukraine suffered one of its deadliest attacks since Russia invaded the country more than two years ago. More than 40 people were killed when dozens of missiles struck cities in Ukraine on July 8.

One missile struck Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv, the largest children’s hospital in the country. Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital is renowned for providing critical care to children, particularly those suffering from severe illnesses.

President Joe Biden issued a statement condemning the Monday attack on Ukraine and pledged to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses.

American congressmen discussed the recent attack on Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital, expressing strong condemnation of the bombing and highlighting the urgent need for international action and support for Ukraine.

Atlanta is joining other American cities to hold emergency rallies in the aftermath of the July 8 attack.
