The anticipation for the 2024 NFL season is starting to build as Falcons training camp is now less than a week away. To add a little spice to the pending change in the calendar, news came out today from D. Orlando Ledbetter of the AJC that Kyle Pitts will be playing the role of both a wide receiver and tight end this upcoming season.

"[Talking] about Kyle Pitts and being a wide receiver, I don't care. Like, whatever," Steak said on Monday morning's edition of The Steakhouse. "The way you run offenses now if you want to run him out wide with Drake London or out wide on the other side and you've got two guys who are 6-foot-6 [and 6-foot-4] running down the field, that's fine, or you want to run him out of the slot, it doesn't matter.

"All that matters is that your offense is prolific enough to take care of mismatches," he said. "You can't guard Drake London, you can't handle Bijan out of the backfield, you can't handle Kyle Pitts, and hopefully one of these new wide receivers -- Darnell Mooney or Rondale Moore -- [create] mismatches."

Now, the Falcons will need to be able to take advantage of those mismatches and make its opposition pay. In each of the last two seasons, with Marcus Mariotta and Desmond Ridder at the helm, they didn't have the quarterback to do it.

The same won't be true in 2024 with Kirk Cousins under center for the Falcons.

"The best thing to happen to Kyle Pitts will be Kirk Cousins," Drew Butler said in response to Steak. "Make no mistake about it."

"Things are coming together now to where the Falcons, the fan base, and the coaching staff are excited for next week," Butler finished. "Let's get in the building."
