On Monday, court documents stated that Judge Ural Glanville has been officially removed from the Young Thug , YSL trial.

Judge Rachel Krause made the decision to recuse Judge Ural Glanville from the Young Thug, YSL trial after denying a motion requesting her own recusal due to Judge Glanville’s $2,000 donation to her recent reelection campaign, according to 11 Alive.

As we previously reported, Young Thug’s attorneys argued that Judge Glanville should be removed from overseeing the case due to a meeting on June 10 that caused significant controversy during the trial. The private meeting, attended by Judge Glanville, prosecutors, and a witness without the involvement of defense attorneys, resulted in Young Thug’s attorney Brian Steel being held in contempt and sentenced to a 20-day jail term. However, the sentence was later overturned after the state Supreme Court granted him a bond.
