APS hosting annual Back to School Bash on July 20

Atlanta Public Schools will host its 10th annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, July 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center in Halls C1 and C2.

More than 11,000 students and families have pre-registered for the event, which will include nearly 200 exhibitors and is the largest back-to-school celebration in Georgia, according to a statement from APS.

The Back to School Bash features free backpacks stuffed with school supplies, fun activities and giveaways, and resources and services to meet the educational and healthcare needs of APS families.

On-site registration will be held from 7 to 10.m. After that, the event will be closed to those who have not registered.

Presenting sponsors for this year’s event are Amazon, Comcast, and MBUSA. Other sponsors include Georgia Natural Gas and the T.D. Jakes Foundation.

The first day of classes for the 2024-25 academic year begin on Aug. 1.
