Delilah’s Everyday Soul recently replaced Chef Shaun Doty’s Federal Burger at Colony Square food hall Politan Row , bringing its fried chicken and Oprah-approved mac and cheese to Midtown.

Doty closed his burger stall at Colony Square and will “step back from day-to-day restaurant management,” according to the press release.

In May, Doty and his business partners closed The Best Sandwich Shop just over a year after it opened in Poncey-Highland, describing the decision to close as a “personal one.” The closure of the popular sandwich shop came five months after the closure of The Wurst Beer Hall next door.

Expect the menu at the Midtown location of Delilah’s to be similar to the Chattahoochee Food Works and Politan Row at Ashford Lane locations. Look for bone-in fried chicken, fried seafood sandwiches, and sides like collard greens and mac and cheese, which received the seal of approval from Oprah Winfrey in 2011 .

One new dish to make the menu lineup in Midtown: a smash burger.

Named for Philadelphia restaurateur and cookbook author Delilah Winder, and owned and operated by her daughter Delana Winder Reeves and husband Jason, the stall serves soul food and southern dishes based on family recipes.

In 2011, Oprah dubbed Delilah’s mac and cheese “best in the nation.” Winder went on to appear in the Netflix series “American BBQ Showdown”, as well as Food Network’s “Throwdown with Bobby Flay” and the CBS series “Chef on a Shoestring”.

Earlier this week, the Politan Group announced the replacement of two stalls at its Dunwoody food hall location, Politan Row at Ashford Lane. Tacos El Kohuich replaces Pretty Little Tacos on July 28, while Bussin’ Jerk replaces Smokehouse Q on August 9.
