As the NBA Summer League has gotten underway, Atlanta Hawks rookie and No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher has been impressive in his first couple outings, posting 18 points in the first matchup against the Washington Wizards. On Wednesday, Steak Shapiro shared his thoughts on why he believes seeing Trae Young in attendance to watch Risacher and giving the Atlanta rookie praise is a good sign for things to come.

“There’s this on again, off again, love I have for Trae (Young) that I’m starting to build my love back,” Shapiro said as he explained that seeing Young on hand sporting an “I am ATL”hat as he watched Risacher leads him to believe that the Hawks All-Star guard has no intention of wanting to leave the franchise.

Shapiro continued that while he understands there are some negative narratives that have surrounded the guard over the past few seasons, including reportedly not being “a great teammate,” he believes the Hawks roster is shaping up for Young to address any concerns about turning the franchise into an NBA title contender.

“Can he be a leader to a 19-year old," Steak asked. "Can he be a leader that just dumped Dejounte Murray and moved on from him? Can he be a leader that realizes, like guys on the Celtics, like guys on the Nuggets, like guys on the Warriors, it’s all about championships, it’s all about winning titles and I’ve got to figure out how to get more out of my teammates."
