In a recent interview on The Rashad Richey Morning Show's weekly segment " Hot Spots ," Senior Editor of Food & Dining at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution , Ligaya Figueras and owner of The Taste Network Brady Lowe , joined the program to treat the listeners to a delightful discussion about the upcoming Peach Fest .

Mr. Lowe started the interview by explaining the mission behind Taste Network, a full-service marketing agency focusing on brands committed to community stewardship and sustainability. His dedication to promoting culinary talent and sustainable practices was evident as he spoke about the agency’s efforts in spotlighting producers who are making a positive impact.

The highlight of the interview was the Peach Fest, an event envisioned by Mr. Lowe a decade ago to celebrate the peach, Georgia's iconic fruit. Set in downtown Atlanta at the Peachtree Center, the festival promises a vibrant atmosphere with live music, top chefs, and unique peach-themed dishes and cocktails. Attendees can expect an array of culinary delights, from savory dishes to refreshing sorbets, all centered around the sweetness of the peach.

The Peach Fest is designed to be an interactive experience where guests can not only taste but also learn from chefs and bartenders. Mr. Lowe emphasized the importance of engagement, encouraging attendees to converse with culinary professionals to gain insights and inspiration for their own kitchens.

With over 70 different peach dishes and drinks and 24 premium wines, the event promises a culinary adventure. Guests will also enjoy a peach tasting featuring different varieties from Pearson Farms, offering a chance to appreciate the diverse flavors and textures of the fruit.

Peach Fest also supports a noble cause. Proceeds from the event will go to Piggy Bank , an organization founded by Mr. Lowe to provide farmers with business plans and resources to improve their operations.

In addition to the main event, the Peach Puppy Dog Show on Saturday, July 20, adds a fun twist. Participants are invited to dress their dogs as peaches for a chance to win prizes, including a cash reward and a Komodo Joe grill. The event is free, making it a perfect family outing with activities, grilling demos, and refreshments.

The conversation also turned to other summer treats. Ms. Figueras shared tips on where to find the best hot dogs in Atlanta, celebrating July as National Hot Dog Month. She highlighted favorites like Chicago style hot dogs in Avondale Estates and local spots like Banshee in East Atlanta.

Ms. Figueras also recommended top ice cream spots, including Frosty Caboose in Chamblee and Meredith Ford’s Crema Los a, both offering delicious ways to cool off.

Mr. Lowe also provided a discount for all listeners of The Rashad Richey Morning Show. He created a 30% off code, AJC , which can be accessed by clicking here .
