“I Should Have Known Better” – Atlanta Woman Hires Man To Mow Her Lawn For $5.25 In Viral Video

This is one of those "it's too good to be true" moments. In this economy, you can't blame someone for wanting to try out a good deal, but this might have been one of those situations where reading the fine print might have been one where reading the fine print was needed. A woman based in Atlanta took a gamble on a lawn mowing service with a price that was hard to beat. She was quoted $5.25 for her small yard and said, "Let's give it a try." What she got, though, was far from a lawn manicure. In the two days since she shared the video on her Instagram, she has racked up an astonishing 9.4 million views for the "lawn care" she received. A man showed up with a push mower to complete the job, but at first glance, it appears as though the $5.25 was for mowing the weeds between the sidewalk cracks instead of her grass. The woman poked her phone camera through the window of her home to capture a video of the man slinging the lawnmower on the sidewalk. The man in a cutoff tee pulls and pushes the lawnmower like he is mowing in the middle of the jungle. There is some FORCE behind each push. He then pulls the lawnmower through the gate, and you'd think maybe that was just where he was starting and would tackle the small grass patches next. Wrong. He pulls the mower into the street and starts pushing it back and forth across the asphalt. The woman behind the camera shared: "I hired a man to mow the lawn, and he hasn't touched the grass yet. The grass between the sidewalk and the street appears to be cut, and by the end of the video, he moves towards the rest of the yard. Of course, there was no follow up to this viral video that has since garnered nearly 10 million viewers, but I have hunch he may have actually gotten the job done. And in that case... what a steal. You got your lawn cut for a VERY reasonable price and then put the man on blast like he was some kind of lunatic? Anything for clout these days, eh?
