From head coach Raheem Morris' mouth to God's ears, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett have been medically cleared to begin training camp, according to ESPN's Marc Raimondi.

Cousins tore his Achilles last October in a mid-season game against the Green Bay Packers in his final season with the Minnesota Vikings. Jarrett tore his ACL, ironically on the same day, against the Tennessee Titans.

Coach Morris says he will be giving Cousins, Jarrett and other players who are coming off injury "modified reps" to begin practice, but the difference will be almost negligible.

Cousins and Jarrett are two of the keys to success for the Falcons in 2024 and with two new coordinators with two new systems to learn, every rep will count.

Before getting injured last season, Cousins was on pace for a career year, ranking second in passing yards and touchdowns up to that point. Jarett is a leader of the defense and will be counted on to help guide the interior pass rush for Atlanta this season.
