It's the first day of Atlanta Falcons training camp in Flowery Branch and what better way to kick it off than with some exciting news?

While speaking to the media on Monday, head coach Raheem Morris shared an exciting injury update on quarterback Kirk Cousins, who had been working his way back from a torn Achilles he suffered in Week 8 of last season.

Cousins has officially been medically cleared.

"We are out ready to go. Obviously, we'll do some sort of our own modifications. Some of the things that we did with Kirk in the spring. But he's ready to go. We'll do some modifications with Grady (ACL). But they're all medically cleared. Ready to go. You should be able to see them at practice, be excited about our team and what we've got going one."

While the Falcons plan to proceed with precaution when it comes to Cousins, Morris said those watching won't be able to tell.

"He's fired up. The teams fired. The limitations for [Cousins], you won't notice," Morris said.

Morris said those limitations will come during individual drills and movement work.

The Falcons signed the former Minnesota Vikings quarterback to a four-year, $180 million deal with $100 million guaranteed back in March during NFL free agency.

Because of his Achilles injury, the Falcons kept him limited through OTAs and mandatory minicamp.

This update couldn't have come at a better time as the Falcons start camp and really hone in and perfect their new offense under a new coaching staff and with Cousins at the help,
