Former President Donald Trump took a swipe at Vice President Kamala Harris after some attendees at her rally Tuesday night left after a performance from rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

The speech from Harris, the presumptive 2024 presidential nominee for the Democratic Party, was preceded by Stallion’s concert, which was held roughly an hour after the previous political speakers had already spoken at the event. About 10 minutes into Harris’s speech, audience members began to leave the setting area of the rally, according to journalist Savanah Hernandez.

“Crazy Kamala Harris, voted the WORST Vice President in American history, needed a concert to bring people into the Atlanta arena, and they started leaving 5 minutes into her speech,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “I don’t need concerts or entertainers, I just have to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

Hernandez, who was attending the rally in person, wrote on X that there is “some validity” over questions that people were attending the rally for the concert instead of Harris. The vice president's speech was only about 30 minutes long , and was her first visit to Georgia since campaigning for president after President Joe Biden bowed out of his reelection bid.

Stallion, whose real name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, has promoted her appearance at Harris’s rally on TikTok, which has 3.6 million views as of Wednesday morning. She also appeared in a TikTok video posted to Harris’s personal account, which has also garnered 3.6 million views.

Trump’s view on Harris needing celebrities to draw audiences was reiterated by rapper Lil Pump, who wrote on X that one candidate is “powered by the people,” while the other is “powered by the establishment.” Pump previously supported Trump in the 2020 election against Biden, appearing at a Michigan rally held on the eve of Election Day.

This Saturday, the former president is set to host a rally at the exact same venue in Atlanta, Georgia. The state is set to be watched closely in the Electoral College, as Trump previously won it in the 2016 election against then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton but lost it in 2020 to Biden.
