An Atlanta mom's cleaning day turned into a straight-up horror movie when she was ambushed by a swarm of venomous spiders , leaving her with severe injuries .

Mother of three, Jessica Rogue, 44, was hospitalized with swollen and burning skin after brown recluse spiders bit her in the face while she tidied up a shed at her residence on July 1. Jessica recounted to AtlantaNewsFirst how she was attempting to clear a tangled web when the creepy crawlies launched their attack.

Within hours of the bites , she found herself in the emergency room, her face, arms, and throat grotesquely swollen. Jessica has been left with lasting marks, skin irritations, and an affected eye due to the toxic bites, enduring several days in the hospital.

"My eye is what I'm really worried about. My eye is, I'm having a lot of pain. I just don't know what's going to happen with my eye," Jessica shared with the news station.

A GoFundMe page set up for Jessica's medical expenses has garnered $2,360. Explaining what happened, the campaign's creator, Morgan Underwood, stated: "Jessica was minding her own business tending to her yard and a couple jerk brown recluse got her. IN THE FACE!...She has numbness and loss of mobility in her hand and foot ( still unsure if it's temporary or permanent yet) and her skin is on fire."

In an update on her condition once Jessica was discharged from hospital, Morgan wrote: "The swelling on her face has gone down a great deal. It's now covered in an itchy, painful rash. Her arms, neck and chest are also covered in an itchy, painful rash, and the areas where she was bitten are blistered up, so we're keeping an eye on that. Her right eye is giving her some trouble, so she may need to go to a specialist to have that looked at soon."

They added: "She will also need to get pest control out there to take care of the spider infestation."

Morgan also explained that the swelling on Jessica's lip is due to a "lymphoma/tumor that is non-cancerous, and a broken piece of her tooth embedded in her upper lip. This is from an accident she was in years ago, from getting hit by a truck on her bicycle."

Morgan mentioned that Jessica's insurance does not cover the removal of the lymphoma as it is deemed a cosmetic procedure. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that brown recluse spiders usually stay hidden in sheltered areas. Their venomous bites kill tissue, leading to large lesions often requiring medical attention.
