Loose dog found in Elmira recovering after testing revealed it ingested drugs
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- A loose dog found by animal control officers on Winsor Ave in the City of Elmira is recovering after testing revealed it had ingested drugs. According to a Facebook post by Elmira Animal Control and Shelter, on Thursday morning, animal control officers responded for the loose dog, and when they arrived they found the dog laying in grass exhibiting "neurological issues". Elmira Animal Control and Shelter said the dog was taken to Home Veterinary Care in Elmira Heights.
