    Rabbits

    Atlanta’s varsity baseball team fell to Redwater 16-9 on Mar. 12. Peyton Harrison, Eli Dryden and Will Woodruff combined for six strikeouts.

    Woodruff was 3-for-4 from the plate with an RBI, Jaden Riley was 2-for-4 with a double and four ribbies, Harrison added an RBI, Easton Owens hit a single, Eli Mitchell had a hit with two ribeyes and Brady Partain was 2-for-2 with an RBI.

    The Rabbits scored two runs in the sixth inning and topped DeKalb 2-0 on Mar. 15.

    Brady Partain opened the sixth inning with a single followed by a single off the bat of Will Woodruff.

    Woodruff was thrown out at second on a fielder’s choice hit by Peyton Harrison, but Easton Owens smacked a triple with runners on the corners and the Rabbs went up 2-0. Eli Stevens gave up just two hits over seven innings with five strikeouts from the hill. Woodruff and Partain hit singles and Owens was 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs.

    Lady Rabbits

    Atlanta’s varsity softball squad edged Redwater 5-4 on Mar. 12. Gabby Arredondo scattered seven hits and struck out six in the win.

    Keirsten Underwood hit a double, Kalissa Reliford hit a single, Anna Davis recorded an RBI, Tori Clayton had a hit with two RBIs, Kinlee Hamilton added two hits with an RBI, Arredondo hit a single and Gabby Petrofsky hit two singles.

    The Lady Rabbits lost to DeKalb 6-5 in extra innings on Mar. 15. Atlanta was up 4-0 after four innings of play but DeKalb put up four runs of its own to set the score at 4-4 going into the seventh frame.

    Both teams scored one run apiece in the 11th, but the Lady Bears added another run in the 12th and won the contest.

    Gabby Arredondo scattered six hits and struck out 8, Anna Davis hit a double, Tori Clayton was 2-for-4 with a triple, Kinlee Hamilton was 3-for-5 with a triple and three RBIs and Aleesha Parkman hit a single.

    Tigers

    Linden-Kildare’s baseball team traveled to play Harts Bluff on Mar. 11, and left town with a 3-2 victory.

    Peyton Foreman gave up just two hits in seven innings of work with 11 strikeouts. From the dish Foreman hit an RBI double.

    Keegan Surratt had two hits, Max Belford hit a single, Maysen Lemmon hit a single and Ethan Churchman had a hit with two RBIs.

    On Mar. 12, the Tigers blanked Avery 10-0 with Logan Hankins striking out 12 over six innings and giving up just two hits.

    Max Belford was 3-for-4 with an RBI, Peyton Foreman was 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs, Maysen Lemmon had a hit with two ribbies and Ethan Churchman was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

    Lady Tigers

    Linden-Kildare’s softball team has been on a roll since March 1. The Lady Tigers have won seven of eight and have outscored its opposition 89-17 over that stretch.

    On Mar. 12, L-K blanked Maud 14-0 in just three innings. Ada Whatley gave up just one hit over three frames with three Ks.

    From the dish, Hannah Wall was 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and four RBIs, Ally- Jo Dixon hit a double, Kaycee Neville was 3-for-3 with a double and two ribbies, Allie Watson hit an RBI single, Ashlyn Lee added an RBI single and Lacy Johnson hit an RBI single.

    Queen City

    Queen City’s softball squad (11-2, 3-0) stayed perfect in district play with a 3-0 win over Hooks on Mar. 12.

    Trinity Oden was masterful from the circle as she gave up only two hits and struck out 12. From the plate Oden was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

    Mallori Stringer hit an RBI triple, Brenna Turbeville hit a single, Serenity Oden hit an RBI single and both Paitynn Weeks and Kelsey Nash hit singles.
