    Ranking: These are the highest-rated high schools in Atlantic County

    Choosing the right high school for your child can be a difficult decision.


    Niche, a website offering rankings and statistics on towns, schools and colleges, recently released its 2024 Best High Schools in Atlantic County . This list offers a ranking based on an analysis of statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education.

    Here are the results:

    St. Augustine Preparatory School


    St. Augustine Preparatory School is a private, all-boys, Catholic school with 670 students in grades 9-12. The student-teacher ratio is 11 to one. Tuition is $18,020 for the highest grade offered. After graduation, 95% of students from this school go on to attend a four-year college.

    Mainland Regional High School is a public school with 1,181 students in grades 9-12. The student-teacher ratio is 11 to one. According to state test scores, 28% of students are at least proficient in math and 45% in reading.
