    Cass County Fair 75th Anniversary Ceremony

    (Atlantic) The Cass County Fair’s 75th Anniversary capped off Sunday’s activities. Leading up to the event. Many people spoke of memories or traditions at the ceremony over the past three-quarters of a century.

    For example, Jacqui Wickey said learning how to style her show calf’s tail inspired her to get into a career in hair styling.

    Bob Lindeman remembers the first county fair he attended was in 1932. He was five years old.

    During the evening, they also included an aerial photo of the people lined up to form the number 75 in front of the grandstand and a Pie in the Face Competition with Grounds President Curt Behrends, Fair Board President Curtis Bierbaum, Atlantic FFA Advisor Eric Miller, and Youth Coordinator Katie Bateman.

    The Cass County Fair is a free fair made possible by the support of the Food Stand.

    The 75th Annual Cass County Fair runs through Tuesday, July 30.
