Sharon Waterfire Fest kicks off Saturday, here's everything you need to know before you go
The Sharon Waterfire Festival is almost here with the festivities kicking off Saturday, July 27. Here's everything you need to know before you go. The festivities begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday and will last until 11:00 p.m. This year's fest will consist of vendors, a food court, a children's fun zone, a blessing of the Shenango River courtesy of Native American Leon Briggs, a fire show courtesy of Jimmy Pyro and of course plenty of live music on the main stage.

Perhaps the most exciting news to come out of Steelers training camp after the first day of practice was the sighting of Cory Trice practicing without a knee brace. This is a significant development as it indicates his full recovery from the ACL injury that sidelined him in 2023. Meeder's Restaurant Added to NYS Historic Business Preservation Registry
State Senator George Borrello presented the New York State Historic Business award to Meeders Restaurant in Ripley to celebrate their incorporation into New York State's Historic Business Preservation Registry. Established by legislation passed in 2020, the Historic Business Registry includes businesses that have been in operation for at least 50 years and have contributed to their communities' history. Borrello nominated Meeder's Restaurant to the registry in 2023 in recognition of their role in helping shape the history, heritage, and identity of the Ripley community.
