Football Recap: Panther Creek Starts Season with Win Against Lake Worth
Panther Creek had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 55-10 win over the Lake Worth Bullfrogs. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Bullfrogs are ranked 726th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Michigan State Opens Jonathan Smith Era with 16-10 Win Over FAU

Aidan Chiles, in his starting debut, struggled with two interceptions but contributed with a rushing touchdown.
Co-Captain Center Federico Maranges
Growing up in Puerto Rico, football became my passion at a young age. In 2017, when Hurricane Maria struck the island, my life changed forever. My school shut down for three months, and I knew there were no recruiting opportunities in Puerto Rico. So, I left everything behind at the age of 16 and moved to Miami. Now, going into my sixth year with Florida Atlantic football and a growing program, change has been both challenging and rewarding as I continue to learn how to adapt to new situations and evolve as a player.

Big Ten Coordinator of Officials explains pivotal late-game penalties in MSU-FAU
With nearly 200 yards in penalties between the teams, there was an abundance of laundry to sort through in Michigan State's season-opening win over Florida Atlantic. The officiating crew appeared to be working through some early-season rust, too, bizarrely whistling what would've been a Kay'ron Lynch-Adams touchdown early when his forward progress had not been stopped.
