CFF Makes Announcements
The Chesapeake Film Festival (CFF) is currently accepting submissions on Film Freeway for its highly anticipated 17th edition in Easton from September 27 through 29. Filmmakers from around the world are invited to submit their work for consideration for this event. As a platform dedicated to showcasing the best in independent cinema, the festival offers a unique opportunity for filmmakers to connect with audiences as well as industry professionals.
“Capturing the Moment” Exhibit
On First Friday, March 1, The Artists’ Gallery will feature the work of a new exhibiting artist, Kathy Kopec. After raising a family and retiring from a career in OR nursing, Kathy decided to pursue her longtime dream of becoming an artist. Moving from Toms River, New Jersey, to Easton, she found it to be the perfect place to fulfill that dream. She studied for years with Nancy Tankersley and most recently with Bernard Dellario.
“Talbot People” Exhibit
The Talbot Historical Society proudly presents its latest exhibition “Talbot People,” by photographer Steve Lingeman. This photographic exhibit is about the people of Talbot County – Easton, Oxford, St. Michaels, Trappe and places in between. It is about all of us and our families, all ethnicities, all ages, all affiliations, all religions, all professions and all jobs. It is a project of diversity and the extraordinary collective of people who live in and contribute to our county.

TAP’s 2024 Season Lineup
Tred Avon Players (TAP) is thrilled to unveil an exciting lineup for the coming year as it enters its 43rd season of providing live theater to the Eastern Shore. The shows will be performed in partnership with the Oxford Community Center, located at 200 Oxford Road in Oxford. Adkins Arboretum is partnering with local yarn artists and the Fiber Arts Center of the Eastern Shore (FACES) to create an exciting visual experience in the trees around the Arboretum Visitor’s Center. The bright colors and whimsical designs will be on view from February 29 through April 6th. Knitters and crocheters are invited to decorate an Arboretum tree with their creations.
